New Product Integration Engineer - Tape Read/Write Heads

Job Description

Tape is the foundational volume storage technology that is leading growth in cold storage. Join a small but growing team where you can make an immediate impact on the robust tape technology roadmap. The candidate will be responsible for defining and developing new tape head wafer products and supporting them during their manufacturing life cycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Gather requirements and work with the design team to implement new products

-Work with the wafer process team to choose the best processes to deliver high yield

-Determine and document specs to achieve desired performance

-Run process and product experiments as needed

-Conduct failure analysis and continuous improvement for production products

-Lead qualification of manufacturing changes

-Create and maintain process routings for tape head products

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or a related field with 5+ years of experience in wafer processing

Demonstrated history of working as a technical lead in cross functional teams and successfully bringing a product from concept to market

Experience with magnetic read/write head wafer integration is a significant plus
