Looking for a hands-on Technical Lead for our Real Time Payments Service (RTP). At the core of RTP is the VolPay vendor product from Volante. RTP ecosystem has 44+ in-house built microservices. We are looking for exceptional and creative Tech Lead for our agile Team. The attributes we are looking for are solid communication, a firm foundation in software fundamentals and a strong personal initiative; should be a self-starter as well as a good mentor to the Team. You must be self-driven, inquisitive and take ownership in a high-pressure and dynamic environment. Job Requirements

  • Lead a Technical Team supporting a vendor product, as well as other in-house built applications/utilities
  • Work closely with the Senior IT Management, Product and Operations teams to understand their needs and provide appropriate guidance, direction, and communication.
  • Work with the Vendor on requirements, release planning and issue resolution
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills are a MUST
  • Experience in developing and Supporting real-time, multi-threaded applications
  • Solid knowledge of Devops and tools development
  • Troubleshooting AppDynamics, Splunk
  • Ability to write clean and optimized code and do code reviews for same
  • Ability to design for scalability and performance
  • Practical knowledge of a scripting language like Perl or Python
  • Experience with Kafka and MQ
  • Experience with testing automation
Responsible for the delivery of high quality architectural solutions, while ensuring compliance with company policies. Strategizes and contributes to enterprise level technological initiatives on architectures, patterns and standards. In addition to the individual contributor primary responsibilities shown below, may also have managerial responsivities, such as: recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Defines and implements architecture and design in accordance with architecture principles. Adheres to established architecture methodologies and standards and ensures compliance with company policy. Identifies organization-wide initiatives and makes recommendations for the use of technology. Works closely with senior management to educate and to articulate resource requirements necessary to promote architecture goals. Oversees architecture activities of the organization to assure the strategic goals of the organization are met. Works toward architecture and design solutions. Performs enterprise planning and designing solutions for emerging business and complex technology environments. Identifies and recommends ways to drive more value out of the company's technology assets. Designs stable and flexible high performance solutions, maximizing reuse and avoiding redundancy. Works with other stakeholders in optimizing architecture solutions. Contributes to the achievement of multiple teams' objectives Qualifications
  • Hands-on Technology Lead experience (preferably in Financial Services industry with payments or trade systems)
  • Job holder must personally demonstrate accountability and responsibility.
  • S/he must have extensive experience with developing for major impact and high-visibility projects.
  • Hands on development working in very strong technical team.
  • Self-learner and a strong team player
Knowledge of the following technologies
  • Core Java , Spring Boot , Camel and other open source technologies
  • Ansible
  • Linux & Unix Scripting
  • Tomcat
  • Oracle Database & Mongo DB
  • RESTful Web Services
  • Cloud computing experience
  • Experience with SWIFT or ISO 20022 messages a plus
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. Advanced degree preferred. 10-12 years of experience in technology and architecture roles required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
