Currently, we have an opening for a Data Analyst/Report Writer (PeopleSoft) for our direct client Texas Department of Public Safety at Austin TX. The position details are given below. Position: Data Analyst/Report Writer (Peoplesoft) Location: Austin TX Duration: 24+ Months Responsibilities: Client implemented PeopleSoft 9.2 Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Purchasing, Asset Management, and Inventory modules on 9/1/18. Business Object (BO) tool is a business intelligence tool that provides a web-based interface to PeopleSoft to create reports or queries to meet DPS reporting requirements. As the Post-Go Live CAPPS Financials Production Report writer, the Worker must have a strong background in Business Objects 3.1 or 4.0 (or higher) and have worked with BI, PeopleSoft and Data Warehouse technology.

The Worker must have extensive experience in the following: Coordinating the necessary functional and technical resources when collaboration is required Teaching and mentoring agency staff in production reporting duties and best practices Working with business customers to gather requirements for report development Developing Business Objects reports based on functional specifications for a group or organization Responsible for capturing business requirements to meet DPS's reporting needs Responsible for consistent use of project standardized processes and forms, including but not limited to, Functional Design Documents, Key Design Decisions, Change Controls, Risk and Issue log, Scope Documentation, Configuration Documentation, Business Process Flows, and other project documents as needed Adhering to software development processes Provide input to project management to estimate the level of effort Prepare detailed documentation Completes tasks in an efficient and timely manner while keeping project stakeholders informed The Worker must be able to work with the Data Warehouse, PeopleSoft, and Agency teams to ensure reports comply with the standards and all data modeling artifacts are prepared accurately in a timely fashion. The Worker must also be quality conscious and be dedicated to delivering quality products on time and on budget. II. Years Required/Preferred Experience 8 Required Reporting Experience with Business Intelligence Report Writing best practices 8 Required Reporting Experience with Business/System/Data Analysis and Improvement 8 Required Reporting Experience with the development of various reporting mechanisms 8 Required Reporting Experience with PeopleSoft 5 Preferred Proficient with the Microsoft Windows and Office products 5 Preferred Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government) 5 Preferred Experience in process or systems analysis work on any one or combination of the following PeopleSoft modules: general ledger/commitment control, purchasing/e-procurement, accounts payable, inventory, asset management, grant accounting 5 Preferred PeopleSoft Financials modules implementation or post-go live experience with an emphasis on reporting activities
