Job Summary:

Chloeta is seeking to hire one (1) or more Security Managers. These are intermittent, as-needed Subject Matter Experts (SME) in law enforcement and/or the security industry. State Security Managers report to the Project Manager and provide a diverse range of support around personnel, equipment and licensing matters. As qualified, State Security Managers may provide Lead Instructor or Unit Instructor training support services to staff. The ideal candidate for a State Security Manager position is a retired federal or state law enforcement officer.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

  • Provides assistance, support and advisement to security professionals

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure that all security operations are conducted in a legally compliant, professional, ethical and profitable manner in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as project plans and budgets

  • Provide virtual or on-site guidance to Security Officers (Armed and Unarmed) as required

  • Review written reports and activity summaries of Security Officers for completeness and accuracy.

  • Conduct periodic training exercises for security officers as needed or as deemed necessary.

  • Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.

  • Responds in a timely manner to all email and verbal communications.

  • Meets as needed with client(s) to proactively address security, emergency and safety matters.

  • May be responsible for orientation and training of Security Officers and other personnel.

  • Plays a central role in ensuring a safe, healthy and secure workplace.

  • Works closely with the Operations if applicable, to ensure the efficient, effective and compliant operations of all designated Accounts.

  • Reviews security reports to verify post orders and client requirements have been satisfactorily followed.

  • May assist with coordinating staffing schedules. Acts to ensure client requirements are met while controlling labor costs.

  • Maintains a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies and procedures. Acts to ensure that employees are treated with dignity and respect and that employees understand applicable laws, policies and procedures.

  • Coordinates with Operations management, and participates in the recruitment, selection, training, development and retention of high caliber employees in accordance with applicable law and Company policy.

  • Supports security planning, assessments and surveys; reviews and updates post orders. Assists in the development of site-specific training materials.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Familiarity with state security regulations

  • Familiarity with Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Federal Firearms License (FFL) requirements

Education and Experience:

  • State Commissioned Security officer OR Personal Protection Officer OR Training School Instructor OR CE School Instructor preferred

  • Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree or minimum of five (5) years’ supervisory experience/expertise in law enforcement, public safety or security in lieu of a degree.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work will primarily occur in an office/sedentary environment that primarily involves sitting/standing

  • Light work that includes moving objects up to twenty (20) pounds

All Chloeta staff have regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description.
