Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer Location: Walnut Creek, CA Duration: Full time Job Description: The Senior Electrical Engineer (SEE) is responsible for the electrical engineering design portion of multi-discipline projects done by the company. The SEE directs electrical designers and drafters to prepare electrical design packages for construction. The work includes electrical studies, calculations, equipment sizing and specifications, plant electrical layout, vendor selection, design review, construction support, etc. The SEE will work closely with the Project Manager in order to meet the project objectives. The work may involve all phases of a project from conceptual plant layout throughout detailed design, procurement, quality control review and construction support. Position requires occasional travel to job sites for meetings with clients, contractors, job walks, field data gathering, etc. We are looking for good people with technical leadership to grow with the Company. The SEE will report to the Director of Engineering. Qualifications: - B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering and California Electrical P.E. License.
- 10+ years of electrical engineering and design experience in the energy industry and utilities (oil & gas, renewables) with some experience in field engineering and construction.
- Experience in engineering design and commissioning of medium voltage (2.4KV to 35KV) power distribution systems, substations, switchgears, MCCs and VFDs.
- Familiar with NEC, IEEE, ANSI and API Standards.
- Capable of performing electrical engineering calculations using ETAP or SKM programs.
- Computer Skills include MS Office Suite, MS Project, and familiar with AutoCAD.
- Project Management and/or Supervisory experience is not required but is a plus.
