Job Summary The Lead Systems Administrator is responsible to provide day-to-day direction to team members and serves as the "go-to" source for complex questions and issues that arise. Assists manager with interviewing and hiring staff as well as trains and mentors the new hires. A willingness and ability to participate in intense or sensitive interactions with guests or team members by serving as team escalation point. Provide support and influence to maintain Sanford technology standards. Communicate and escalate major issues or questions to the manager. Provide enterprise endpoint management platform administration, maintenance, monitoring, reporting and endpoint software delivery that enables our customers to be productive while maintaining a secure environment that optimizes Sanford's endpoint asset return on investment. The Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration and use of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (ECM/SCCM) including developing software packages and software deployments, software and operating system patching, maintaining the imaging task sequence, configuring endpoint policies per standards and ensuring management platform availability. This position is also responsible for administering and monitoring the G-suite, Wyse Management Studio, Parallels Mac Management and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) platforms. Expected to innovate new services to keep up with new technology and guest demand. A willingness and ability to participate in intense or sensitive interactions with guests or team members by serving as team escalation point. Provide support and influence to maintain Sanford technology standards. Assists customers with installations, updates, testing and implementation of personal computer hardware solutions and software deployments. Work with the engineers to implement new platform and endpoint administration requirements. Provide technical solutions for 3rd level problems and escalate to appropriate teams. Independently determine root cause for issues, and develop resolutions to be applied enterprise wide. Provide timely follow-up to end-users to ensure the services provided addresses their needs. Collects requirements for enterprise endpoint software installations and configurations, packages enterprise applications, tests and works with application owners to perform user acceptance testing to ensure quality software deployments. Works with the vendors and application owners to gather software requirements. Uses various scripting languages to script application installs. Develops MSI installs with MSI authoring software such as Admin Studio. Creates applications and deployments in ECM/SCCM. Creates collections and queries for targeting software deployments. Administers and monitors device security products including Windows Defender, Bitlocker Encryption w/MBAM, Applocker and Device Guard. Ensures endpoint compliance with Sanford configuration and security standards by generating compliance reports and remediating out of compliance endpoints using the management platforms and tools. Maintains a continuous cycle of patching and reporting to always ensure enterprise wide compliance. Generates reports and provides information related to the endpoint life-cycle management and security compliance. Troubleshoots endpoint agents installed on clients to ensure that all systems are receiving updates. Troubleshoots and maintains primary ECM/SCCM components.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field required. In lieu of education, leadership may consider 5 years of applicable experience. Minimum of three years of experience with hardware and software desktop support. Technical experience working with computer infrastructure a must. Experience in an advanced Windows system organization environment, monitoring and administering Microsoft Endpoint configuration Manager (ECM/SCCM) system components and resolving system and client issues. Hands on experience with a variety of enterprise applications. Experience using packaging tools for system imaging and software deployment. Knowledge of Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and ECM/SCCM community a plus. Knowledge of Active Directory group policy objects, organizational unit structure and administration of endpoint policies. When applicable, may need a valid driver's license. If valid driver's license is required, must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category III drivers. ITIL v3 or v4 foundation certification a plus.
