Project Manager

Location: Kalamazoo, MI Description: Organization point of contact and ultimately responsible for project(s) managed - planning through implementation. Develops and manages project strategy, scope, schedule, costs, resources, and risks. May assist with technical aspects and technical approach if project in response to Design Inputs. Performs activities according to organizations systems and procedures. Recommends changes in procedures, as appropriate. Under general supervision, plans, conducts and supervises assignments. Reviews progress and evaluates results. Operates with substantial latitude for un-reviewed action or decision. Works under general supervision and instruction of more experienced staff with significant degree of independence to determine how project objectives will be met including project priorities. Works effectively with applicable departments within the division, including, but not limited to Materials, Marketing, Quality, Operations, Regulatory, Service, Human Resources and Technical Support. Reports observations/problems clearly and concisely, recognizing and highlighting specific deviations. Possesses and applies knowledge of project planning, management, and communications. This may include technical advisor/consultation. May manage project cost. Participates in preplanning activities by assigning resources to tasks. Minimum of 6 years experience with managing projects in medical device industry.o Overall system aspects of one small to mid-sized projecto Significant project management impact on a minimum of one key project. Significant Medical Device Industry design controls knowledge. Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, etc.). Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills applied across organization. Eagerness to assist internal and external customers. Possess attention to detail.
