- There are multiple, medium to large, complex, cross-division projects involving internal IT development and Vendor engagements to deliver on the client and an initiative to build out the department's Project Management Office.
- As we emerge from the pandemic, building, installing, and upgrading multiple programs and capabilities to protect the health of Iowans is imperative.
- Projects will vary but include upgrades to the AMANDA professional licensing application and the Disease Surveillance System. Other project opportunities include building out the Project Management Office and implementing a Project Portfolio tool
- These projects allow IDPH and Information Management to execute on strategy.
- All of these initiatives are in the very early stages.
- These projects will include the delivery of a Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP). An RFI is currently being drafted.
- These initiatives will include both internal staff as well as vendor implementation teams and will last 12-24 months.
- Projects will include both waterfall and agile methodologies.
