Job Description
This position will be responsible for leading the area that manufacturers coils for the associated manufacturing line. Candidate must be a highly motivated team player with proven ability to meet/exceed production goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Perform winding of coils, prepping, welding, and line assembly operations
Balance the workload between target inventory and other demands
Must check daily target inventory levels, understand demands and plan accordingly with team and associated line
Prioritize workload to meet daily and weekly production goals
Able to lead all CSD cell day to day operations (assignment of daily duties and shift changeover communication)
Crosstrain on associated manufacturing line and coil winding
Support winding needs in magnetics at the Components Division as needed
Able to perform preventative maintenances of equipment within the winding cell
Understand MRD Principles, point of use inventory, and order material as needed
Able to troubleshoot problems associated with the winding cell as well as perform crash recovery on robotic winding equipment
Able to train personnel in the use of Auto-Winder operation (Itasca) and Broomfield / ACE syle manual winder
Be quality minded, flexible, able to meet daily production demands
Be a team player and work on ways to improve process and flow
Must be able to work on a high volume, fast-paced assembly line
Have good materials management skills
Must be able to interpret and understand coil winding data sheets
Qualifications
The ability to read and understand circuit and wiring diagrams
1 year of MRD and material ordering procedures
Must be able to comprehend bills of material and prints
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
1 year of mechanical experience required
1 year coil winding experience
Must be able to read and understand coil winding data sheets
Possess good hand dexterity
Must be willing to cross-train
Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Overtime will be required
Good communication & problem solving skills
Previous welding and assembly experience is preferred.
Must be certified or able to certify to MIG (robotic)Weld
