Network Security Architect Analyst

Experienced Network Security Architect with 10+ years’ experience working on implementing network security solutions.Implementing a new network that interfaces with Operational Technology which requires network segmentation, advanced network visualization using machine learning appliances and restricted security policy. The role requires working with a team to implement security controls within the network and assist with firewall placement, create firewall policy and initial configurations, and install Gigamon Network appliances to tap the traffic and mirror it to machine learning appliances. All security appliances will need to integration with SSO options and all logs will need to go to Splunk Appliances. The candidate will be expected to provide guidance with any additional security controls necessary to adhere to IT Security Standards and NYS cyber security requirements.The candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:• Scheduling meetings with project teams• Documenting design requirements, and creating any and all diagrams necessary• Installation of equipment into Racks, connecting to power and connecting network cables.• Performing initial configurations via console cable, connecting to existing Management networks.• Updating software / Firmware on network equipment and adding Licensing.• Configuring all advanced features and providing a working solution.• Assisting with post implementation testing with Application Personnel and adjusting policies to support operations with least security risks.• Experience integrating appliances with Azure Active Directory SSO via SAML 2.0Requirements• Batchelor’s Degree in Computer Science• Extensive experience with Cisco Networking. L2 / L3. VRF’s and Routing Protocolso Cisco Certifications Preferred• Extensive experience with Palo Alto Next Gen Firewalls including Vwire and application based policies.o Palo Alto Certifications Preferred• Experience with Gigamon Inline Network taps and bypass policies including deduplication.o Gigamon Certifications Preferred.• Experience with Diagram Creation using Visio.• Project management experience working on large projects.
