Capstone IT is partnering with a rapidly growing Insurance company based in Omaha, NE, to fill a full-time Automation Test Engineer opportunity. Responsibilities- Validating data sources, extracting data, and uploading data in target tables
- Testing and troubleshooting the data storage system before it goes live
- Create and maintain automation scripts, execute scripts, and validate results, document problems, and communicate findings
- Store scripts and other deliverables in testing repository
- Determine product delivery schedules, create and maintain test plans and strategies
- Manual testing may be expected depending on project needs
- Create test cases, test data, and test procedures
- Coordinate all test activities within a team environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or MIS REQUIRED
- 3-4 years of experience with testing
- 2+ years of experience with test automation
- Experience in the creation of automation test suits using data and keyword methodologies
- Experience using SQL for data validation and deficit resolution
- Experience with Web Service testing and automation
- Experience performing data quality checks, and data integrity checks
- Understand testing discipline in agile and waterfall software development
- Understanding of data warehousing, relational database management systems, and multi-dimensional databases
- Understanding of Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, and normalized data
- Metadata knowledge
- Ability to write and understand complex SQL queries (MS SQL Server and IBM DB2 databases)
- Must be customer-focused and be able to resolve problems effectively
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and organization skills
- Driven self-starter and the ability to work under minimum supervision
- Python and ETL experience a plus
