Job Title: Java DeveloperJob Location: New York, NY 10004Job Duration: 6 + Months Client is looking to integrate the processes and data flow from a recent acquisition.Drive technical excellence by working independently to analyze, design , develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutionsWork on inception of projects, understand requirements, architect, develop, deploy, and maintain applicationProvides stable, scalable platform with appropriate standards and procedures to support the diverse nature and demands of a wide range of investment teams and clients.Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications and projects using Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, or other related software engineering languages as well as keeping abreast of emerging technologies in an Agile environmentMust have Financial Services experienceExperience with Portfolio Management (a plus)Must have Database Migration experience (SQL, stored procedures, data modeling)Must have Strong programming experience in JAVA, Hibernate, Spring MVC, J2EE, JSP, JavaScript, CSS, developmentExperience with Open Source tools (Apache, JBoss, Tomcat, Hibernate, Ant, Ivy, Spring, JUnit, JBPM, etc.)Experience with UNIX operating system and relational databases.Scripting language experience Perl or Python (a plus)Solid experience with development of interactive web applications (HTML, JavaScript)Experience working with global project teams spread across several time zones (a must)Strong teamwork, communication skills and time management abilitiesAbility to quickly learn new applications and absorbing processes and proceduresExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyAbility to articulate complex concepts in a clear mannerOrganized, detailed and able to manage work to meet tight deadlines.
