Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector is currently seeking a talented Lead Cyber System Engineer. This person will contribute to the growing success of a new program within the Sensing and Secure Solutions Operating Unit. The Lead Cyber System Engineer must have prior experience as a liaison with customers for the purpose of capturing and tracking system requirements and activities. We welcome the opportunity to connect with talented individuals who have the ability to do the following tasks:

  • Ability to curate technical content, foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and coordinate and develop quality responses to customer leadership actions and requests (via documentation, presentations, and graphics).
  • Analyze user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Analyze system requirements and leads design and development activities.
  • Guide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
  • Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Own the responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
  • Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:
  • Nine (9) years' experience as a System Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four additional years of related experience can be substituted for a degree.
  • Experience in performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/nontechnical assessment and management as well as end-to-end flow analysis.
  • A TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Rapidly builds rapport and trust with customer organization through project-focused collaboration.
  • Technical leader capable of leading large team(s) of dozens of engineers.
  • Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs.
  • Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
  • Prior experience on Agile teams
  • Prior experience with containers and DevOps tooling
  • Prior experience leading teams
  • Prior experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing requirements
  • Prior experience with model-based systems engineering tools
