UX/Visual Designer

Location: San Bruno, CA Description: Our client is currently seeking a UX/Visual Designer - The YOTTI UX team is responsible for delivering premium entertainment (TV, Movies & Sports) experiences at YouTube. We are a collaborative team of interaction designers, visual designers, writers, prototypers and researchers building best in class experiences across the YouTube ecosystem. This job will have the following responsibilities:- Design and document the premium entertainment design system on desktop, mobile and TV. - Develop strong partnerships with UX, Marketing, PM and Eng partners. Proactive collaboration with cross functional team members is expected. - Create high-quality design proposals, and independently drive projects from concept to implementation. Qualifications & Requirements:- 3 - 5+ years or experience - Demonstrate a high level of craft in design systems thinking. - Understand what it means to design at scale. - Elevate the visual design and account for the design details/pixels of building a product. - Execute against several work streams in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment time zone difference, and deliver clear and detailed solutions. - Documenting visual patterns and components used by multiple projects. - Contribute strategically to the development of an improved process around pattern definition and documentation. - Own the review process between multiple teams within YouTube and address feedback - Create and maintain design resources to improve productivity and consistency across YouTube TV - Be able to produce digital assets, redlines/spec and drive the production phase of the design. - Create aesthetically excellent work that is true to the YouTube brand spirit - Design proposals and production for incremental changes to YouTube TV marketing efforts that support product changes - Design in-product promotional surfaces, new and existing formats. Nice to Have Skills/Qualifications or Not Required: - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and peers and build relationships that deliver on impact and influence with Product Managers, Engineering, and Marketing partners. - 5+ year of professional experience - 2+ years of experience establishing design systems for various brands. - Ability to demonstrate a collaborative approach with design and engineers. - Detail-oriented and organized, with strong visual design skills, layout, typography and high graphic standards. - Interest in or experience with using Content Management Systems (CMS) - Interest in or experience with layout design and visual communications. - Experience working closely with UX and product management teams in the tech industry. - Proficiency with Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and/or other design tools.
