Job Title: Business System Analyst

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Denver CO or Dallas TX or Austin TX or Phoenix AZ

Job Description:As a Business Systems Analysts you’re responsible for understanding and translating the needs of the business with the use of technology. Ensure their deliverables are aligned with business need and requirements, provide advice, and work cross-functionally with the project team. Experience leading different project roles is beneficial for success in this role. They possess strong inter-personal communication skills and time management skills with a strong ability to communicate and work well with others. Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to produce efficient solutions and protocols to meet the objectives through agile.
  • Act as requirements project lead for medium to large projects, directing and coordinating requirements project staff and activities
  • Oversee production support of core projects, including gathering and documenting requirements, translating functional requirements to technical requirements, and identifying options.
  • Partner with business users and act as a liaison between business and technical teams. Coordinates development, testing, and implementation of solutions with vendors.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst with track record of delivering business process requirements and use cases is required.
  • Solid experience and understanding of Agile Scrum and Rational Unified Process Methodology in developing use cases, use case model, supplementary requirements, and business rules is essential.
  • Solid understanding of relevant business issues.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision- making and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Project, Excel, MS Word and iGraphx or Visio Drawing tools along with general familiarity with Outlook and other MS Office applications is also required
The following is preferred but not required
  • Experience managing multiple large, complex and cross functional projects, with emphasis on systems, technologies, business process redesign, and knowledge of technical environments, a background in the financial services industry, BA/BS degree and/or PMP certification.

Skillset
  • Collaboratively design for a solution architecture which meets the program objectives and business needs.
  • Identify, prioritize, and deliver tactical and long-term solutions to maximize the business value.
  • Facilitate functional design for release planning objectives and vision with multiple scrum teams & stakeholders.
  • Collaboration, development and management of functional features, user stories, high level requirements and detailed level requirements to drive a business and technology solution
  • Strong understanding with the concepts of Web Services and API technologies
  • Data Structure, Data modelling, Data mapping, Data Integration
  • Integration of cloud services with internal applications and/or databases, including but not limited to integration layers and security layers
  • Design and development of activity diagrams, context diagrams, intersystem dependency diagrams, and sequence diagrams.
  • Familiarity of the design and development of a use cases and UML
  • Development and support of test plans and user acceptance criteria for feature, user story and functional delivery.
  • Provide objectives for development scrum team prioritization of features, user stories for iteration planning.
  • Support development on the activities needed to execute the business vision and goals for a defined release.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders to facilitate the vision, release planning, features, user stories and overall program.
  • Work with Product Owners to manage the business and stakeholder expectations within the defined program scope, vision and release.
  • Facilitate and Implement change control process for impact analysis to scope, budget and release timelines.
  • Provide guidance and drive Agile practices with our product owners and Scrum team including the maintenance and prioritization of our backlog
  • Nice to have: Financial Industry experience

Required Skills:
  • 6-10 years of IT Business Systems Analysis experience
  • Must Have-Strong understanding with the concepts of Web Services and API technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the integrations between applications-Comprehensive analytical skills and ability to multi-task to perform multiple complex tasks-Design and development of activity diagrams, context diagrams, intersystem dependency diagrams, and sequence diagrams.
  • Familiarity of the design and development of a use cases and UML-Operate with little oversight on day-to-day work with general direction on assignments-Attention to detail and a disciplined approach to developing processes-Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and professional ethics-Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and collaborative user stories for technologies-
  • Strong interpersonal skills to juggle multiple simultaneous projects
  • Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field related work experience
  • 6-10 years of IT Business Systems Analysis experience
