This position is located in Pleasanton, California and will require travel to support the launches of our fulfillment operations across the U.S. Position Purpose The eCommerce Fulfillment Optimization team is responsible for the strategic development and execution of ecommerce initiatives, including the launch and scale of Albertsons' micro-fulfillment center (MFC) network. This role will oversee the buildout of our micro-fulfillment center (MFC) network, which is a major investment area which is critical to the growth and success of our omnichannel strategy. You will develop relationships with key customers and stakeholders, deliver and support projects, and work cross functionally with operations, real estate, marketing, analytics, product and IT to execute the construction and launch of our new MFC locations. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Establishing clear timelines and milestones for all Fulfillment Optimization initiatives, including the launch of several micro-fulfillment centers (MFCs) in the next 18 months
  • Designing and implementing a site selection methodology for new fulfillment operations, including market analysis, construction feasibility, and operational impacts;
  • Managing ecommerce initiatives from inception through deployment, with responsibility to provide visibility and necessary reports/updates to leadership teams;
  • Coordinating workplans across many Albertsons teams (Operations, Fulfillment, Real Estate, Construction, Product/IT, Merchandising) to achieve on-time launch of new sites and drive execution of strategic initiatives;
  • Able to keep teams on track across multiple projects, instill accountability on timelines and milestones, understand impact on dependencies, etc.
  • Developing and executing launch playbooks for implementing standard work and driving rapid launch and ramp of new sites;
  • Working cross-functionally to manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit
  • Producing and maintaining documentation, including capital request decks, status updates, and site plans to achieve project approval and drive timelines for execution of top initiatives.
  • Lead process, manage project and program level planning, budget estimation and tracking, resource planning and assessment, invoice review, financial planning and risk assessment.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects within the program at any given time.
  • Well-organized, detail oriented, has great communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to work collaboratively within a matrix, 'virtual' environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with external vendors.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 6-10 years' experience in one or more of the following areas: product/program management, business development, management consulting, - desired, but not required
  • eCommerce fulfillment/logistics site launch experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ecommerce, digital and retail experience is a plus.
  • Strong skills in Agile coaching, project planning, budget estimation and management, resource planning and assessment, financial planning and risk assessment.
  • Advanced knowledge of process evaluation and improvement, including selection of products, tools, services and infrastructure components in line with an organization's business needs and architectural principles.
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management Tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Visio, Agile, SDLC etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong expectation management, influencing and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong ability to collaborate across groups, build relationships and manage effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Strong ability to motivate teams and coach and train business system analysts and lower level project managers.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects within the program at any given time.
  • Well-organized, detail oriented, has great communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to work collaboratively within a matrix, 'virtual' environment.
