Thanks to the professionalism, diversity, spirit, and friendliness of our people, we have locations across the U.S.The Technology Department has an opening for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud and Operations team. This position can be located in Pleasanton, California.Position Purpose This position will be responsible for the builds and ongoing support of multiple environments. Drive the design of solutions implemented in public cloud (Azure) and work with application developers and system administrators for maintenance of our system architecture and preparation for new technical implementations (hardware, platform, product, and service deployments). Collaborate with other engineers to continue finding new areas that can be improved by bringing a DevOps mindset to all the areas the company manages. Be an escalation point for self-service build, deployment and environment issues, implementations, and support issues for other teams. Participate in peak season and holiday readiness activities. Participate in the on-call rotation schedule.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, implement, test, and maintain tools and processes for build, deployment, and configuration management
  • Ensure accessibility, security, reliability, availability, and performance of infrastructure:
  • Responsible for the administration of tools and processes to build, test, deploy, and monitor software
  • Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations
  • Provide support of services and applications in production and will evangelize a DevOps culture of automation, self-service, and engineering best practices to enable development teams to go from development to production with a minimum effort
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Science and 8 years of experience OR Master's Degree in Computer and Information Science and 6 years of experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience with cloud services such as Azure, or AWS.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Linux or UNIX systems and deploying applications to those stacks.
  • Three (3) years of experience with automation and scripting language such as PowerShell, Perl, Chef, Bash, Ansible or Puppet.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Restful APIs.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Systems, Storage and Networking.
  • Two (2) years of experience with operating models for private cloud, IaaS and PaaS technologies.
  • Experience in DevOps culture is a required.
