Job Summary/Company:A Sparks Group Partner is seeking a Senior ML Software Engineer to join their team in support of the development, operation, and capability evolution of their analytics platform. The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to manage their own efforts over a broad scope of work as an independent contributor. This position is 100% remote. Responsibilities:
  • Design/implement computer vision solutions that exploit machine learning, statistical learning, and deep learning for next-generation satellite imagery analytics
  • Conduct research on projects related to computer vision, probabilistic modeling, predictive analytics, and content curation
  • Develop/prototype algorithms, models, and analytical tools for solving domain specific business problems
  • Participate in all phases of the project life cycle, from requirements development to deployment
  • Work with management and technical teams on product and platform strategies

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or another computational field
  • 5+ years of hands on experience as a machine learning or computer vision engineer, or data scientist with at least 3 years focused on remote sensing
  • Hands on experience working with large imagery datasets including image normalization, image augmentation, raster/vector visualization, etc.
  • Familiarity with open-source python remote sensing libraries such as Rasterio, Shapely, GeoPandas, etc.
  • Familiarity with open-source python computer vision libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, OpenCV, scikit-image, etc.
  • Ability to communicate concepts and analytical results with customers, management, and the technical team
  • Work Status: due to government requirement, only US Citizens will be considered for this role
