New The Salty Seal Brewpub and Sports Bar located directly on Cannery Row in Monterey, California!

The Salty Seal Brewpub and Sports Bar is seeking full-time and part-time bartenders to join a fun team! Few destinations feature as wide an array of historic, cultural, and natural experiences as Monterey’s Cannery Row. We are a busy bar and need an experienced bartender who can handle the high volume of foot traffic that comes into our establishment daily.

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Bartender experience: at least 2 years

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Cocktail knowledge is a MUST! No need to call yourself a fancy mixologist, but a strong knowledge of classic cocktails and a refine spirits palate will do. There are loads of resources on the internet if you need a little help.

- Beer knowledge is a PLUS!

- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean. Including following a set cleaning checklist.

RESPONSIBILITY

- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons

- Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks

- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations

- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails

- Try to upsell by making recommendations

- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets the legal drinking age

- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies

- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
