Description Walnut Creek insurance company is looking for a Commercial Lines Assistant to assist Account Managers, in clerical functions related to account servicing. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:1. Coordinate Certificate and Evidence of Insurance issuance and certificate renewals. 2. Create, renew and maintain Certificate/Evidence mail merges.3. Process undeliverable certificates, advise insured, update cert./evidence master/mail merge.4. Claim reporting/input and follow-up as requested. 5. Renewal Processing Workflow as assigned by account manager; update applications, prepare/update spreadsheets, etc.6. Draft Proposals and Summaries. 7. Endorsement Processing. 8. Invoicing as assigned. 9. MVR and Loss Run ordering/follow up.10. Prepare letters, mailings and spreadsheets as directed. 11. Scanning as required. 12. Photocopying and faxing as needed. 13. Special projects as assigned.Education: High School DiplomaQualifications Strong computer skills, particularly with Word, Excel, and Access. Office experience desirableExcellent oral and written communication skillsRequirements - Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignmentsGood understanding of PowerPoint
BA/BS degree in business, communications, or a related field suggested
Solid understanding of records maintenance
Solid understanding of Microsoft Word
Comprehension of calendar managements and scheduling appointments
Wide ranging experience with order entry
Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Previous experience working with typing under 45 words per minute
Skills in Alpha 6,000 - 8,000 kph
Well-founded grasp of prooing
Experience with editing
Strong familiarity with reviewing documents for spelling and grammar
Earlier work involving copying
Expertise in Numeric 6,000 - 8,000 KPH
Document control experience preferred
Prior experience with projects
Hands-on experience with conference call coordination
Proven knowledge of composing various kinds of correspondence
Solid understanding of meeting coordination and planning
General familiarity with email
Quality experience with ordering office supplies and equipment
navigating basic office equipment and protocols experience
Good understanding of MS Outlook
Exceptional social skills, previous experience coordinating projects, and able to work well with all internal personnel, outside clients and vendors
Preferred: 2+ years of Sales Assistant experience
Ability to multitask effectively
