Accounting Manager - Venture Capital

Description For faster consideration, please view my Linkedin under Charles O'Brien and email me your resume.Our client is a high caliber Palo Alto based venture capital firm with over $1Billion in assets under management.They are seeking an Accounting Manager to be responsible for management company accounting. In this position, you will report directly to the Finance Director on a collaborative team.Responsibilities include:Responsible for quarterly and annual close of the Management Company books.

Primary contact with international service providers in Europe and Asia to complete and review quarterly financial and international regulatory requirements.

Manage accounts payable, expense reports, portfolio company billings and collections.

Overall Treasury management including cash flow management, bank reconciliations and maintaining foreign currency accounts.

Manage quarterly and annual budget and forecast, working closely with the CFO.

Responsible for monthly payroll and employee benefits.

Manage annual Management Company tax return preparation process

Assist the Finance Director in the annual tax return preparation process

Prepare annual FBAR and other regulatory filings

Requirements

Key Requirements5+ years of transferable experience from a corporate firm or another alternative investment firm or from public accounting with exposure to VC/PE clients

Open to audit, tax, and GL accounting profiles

Consolidation reporting, a plus

Experience with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com and Concur, a plus

Takes ownership of their work and enjoys working collaboratively towards a common goal.
