Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description Robert Half is looking to bring an experienced, efficient Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional onto a growing team at a reputable Manufacturing company. Responsibilities of this position include: enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Ceres, California area.What you get to do every single dayCarry out an assortment of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

Process payments and compile segments of annual reports and monthly closings in compliance with GAAP

Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

Confirm documents and codes

Settle bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a variety of ledgers

Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

Proficient in ERP systems

Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
