Description An opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk at a a company in the Logistics field has opened up. This position is offered through Robert Half. As the Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk, you will have the opportunity to become an integral part of a company in the Logistics industry. Located in Los Alamitos, California, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening. This department offers prospects of career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk position will require to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.Key responsibilitiesProvide support during internal and external audits
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Provide support to internal business partners
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
Perform special projects as assigned
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
Produce full-cycle A/P
Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail Requirements - Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Previous experience working with Invoice Coding
Great Plains (GPAC) experience
Adeptness in Approved Invoices
Prior experience with Month-end Close Activities
Month-end Reports experience preferred
Foundational knowledge in Accrued Expenses
Good understanding of Invoice Approvals
General familiarity with Coding Invoices
Earlier work involving Invoice
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Comprehension of account reconciliation
Concur experience desired
Demonstrated knowledge of Code Invoices
Practical knowledge of Enter Invoices
Enter Vendor Invoices experience highly preferred
Background working with customer invoices
Experience with cash reconciliations
Hands-on experience with Credit Card Reconciliation
Complete Expense Reports experience
Perform Month-end experience desired
Invoice Copies experience highly valued
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Detailed and have the ability work independently
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
