Accounting Clerk

Description Robert Half is actively looking to full-time a skilled Accounting Clerk for a premier organization. In this position, you will be responsible for playing an essential role in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), general data entry, and aligning invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers. This is a temporary position located in the Los Angeles, California area. How you will make an impact Put together statements and reports that require utilization of an assortment of sources

Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

Work with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit

Order documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

Support Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

Report financial facts to journals and ledgers

Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc project Requirements - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

Adeptness in Microsoft Excel

Project accounting experience preferred

Billing experience

Demonstrated knowledge of filing

Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

Deltek experience highly desired

Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system

Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
