They provide lean expertise and training to all facets of operation.Our Lean Engineer supports the goals and vision of Hearth & Home Technologies by coordinating the Rapid Continuous Improvement activities throughout the facility. They are constantly implementing improvements to eliminate waste and keep our company running smoothly. Your role as a Lean Engineer:
  • Coordinate Rapid Continuous Improvement (RCI) events and activities.
  • Coordinate and conduct member development training utilizing rapid continuous improvement/business process improvement tools and skills.
  • Drive daily continuous improvement activities including those focused on problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improve working relationships.
  • Interface with tooling, engineering, maintenance and production staff in person for design requirements and integration into production.
  • Provide input for production processes, systems and engineering focus.

The Requirements of a Lean Engineer
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a progressive leadership role OR a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or a related field and at least 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive lean initiatives as well as influence and adapt to continuous improvement driven changes.
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Manage timeline expectations and accountability
  • Ability to accurately interpret complex data and business information as required
  • Ability to write, speak and present information effectively to all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized with the ability to perform multiple tasks and priorities.
