Senior Infrastructure Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Fairfield, IA that is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Administrator.Job Responsibilities of the Administrator: Maintain, upgrade and operate all computer/server/backup systems; Stay current on new technologies as they develop to help streamline workflow and productivity Responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance, including recognizing and troubleshooting problems, for the Windows Server and Desktop Operations systems Implement and maintain Windows Network Load Balanced server clusters and remote failover replication Troubleshoot complex application problems related to configuration, network, server and application issues, and provide solutions to recovery. Drive and participate in postmortems to avoid repeated incidents Subject matter expert in a minimum of two infrastructure environments/applications Manage multiple IT infrastructure projects as lead technical contact Establish and document standards and procedures Participation in a rotation of 24x7 on-call scheduleREQUIREMENTS: A degree in computer science or a related field; Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, and one year of related experience and/or training; Or equivalent combination of education and experience; Intermediate language, math, reasoning, and computer experience preferred MSCE and/or other systems certifications 9 years of previous system administration experience 8 years of previous server administration experience Strong interpersonal and communications skills including the creation and maintaining of documentation for processes and procedures Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes Extensive understanding of an operating system; Understands paging and swapping, devices and what device drivers do, can use performance analysis to tune systems Windows Server operating systems, Terminal Services, Exchange Server administration Extensive experience with server class hardware such as Dell EMC, Cisco UCS, HP Extensive knowledge and experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare Knowledge of best practices around management, control and monitoring of server OS and network equipment Knowledge of backup systems, clustering, SQL server Extensive knowledge and experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare Experience with enterprise class storage systems Experience with VoIP systems Working knowledge Linux OSExperience with the following: On-prem AD Administration DFSr Active Directory Health Active Directory site configuration DNS Configuration Active Directory AuthorityKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
