Altra Federal Credit Union is adding a Youth Coordinator position to our Marketing Department! This role will be an essential component to promoting all youth products and services and building member relationships! The Youth Coordinator will be responsible for advancing the High School marketing strategies and assisting with business development opportunities within key school districts. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop and implement High School marketing plans.

Serve as liaison with High School administrative staff and provide updates and opportunities.

Work with key High School groups to promote business relationships (DECA, FBLA, etc.)

Develop and maintain operations of the Altra High School offices, including maintenance, supplies, and ensuring a professional image is consistently portrayed within the offices.

Involve self with presentations to High School students and work with Altra’s Financial Wellness Coordinator to advance financial education opportunities in the classrooms.

Plan, coordinate, promote and represent Altra at various youth events and educational functions in the community.

Assist with the growth of youth memberships and help increase awareness among the youth populations.

Assist with the development and maintenance of the retention programs for core youth membership groups.

Maintain knowledge of products and services available to youth members of Altra and stay informed as new products and services become available. Qualified candidates are required to have a High School diploma, GED or HSED. An Associate’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations OR proven experience working with an apprenticeship program is required. One (1) year of similar or related experience is required. The hired candidate must have a valid driver license and a clean driving record; travel between offices is required and mileage will be reimbursed.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of MS Office applications, be Internet savvy and knowledgeable of youth culture, media, and social networking sites, as well as the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines, solve problems, and make evidence-based decisions. Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills and must be approachable, accessible, punctual and maintain a neat professional appearance.

This position is full time, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., some flexibility is required to attend community events; this could include hours on Saturdays and Sundays, and possibly evening hours.
