The Fluno Center is a full-service event destination and conference center with 100 guest rooms, a variety of meeting rooms, event spaces, 150 Seat Dining room and Smitty's Pub.

Lead and direct the maintenance team with the highest quality of standards on a daily basis. Performs journey level work in the installation, modification, repair and overhaul of HVAC equipment, electrical systems, plumbing structures/appliances, and food service equipment. Inspects all mechanical systems to determine preventative maintenance, routine and emergency repairs and report repair requirements.

a) Meet and exceed the expectations of our customers, clients.

b) Supervise and manage the maintenance operations including, but not limited to, staffing and scheduling, budgeting/forecasting, facility cleanliness, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and mechanical systems, general facility maintenance for corrective, emergency and preventive maintenance work, grounds maintenance and other assigned maintenance operations (building renovations, HVAC control systems, chiller maintenance, space planning).

c) Supervise and monitor team members to ensure a high level of guest service is delivered at all times. Empower staff to answer questions and make appropriate decisions.

d) Enforce and ensure that ARAMARK and the Fluno Center policies and procedures are properly understood and followed.

e) Maintains systems according to established maintenance schedules and appropriate maintenance functions as indicated by manufacturer's specifications, Departmental guidelines and good trade practices to minimize breakdowns and other interruptions in service.

f) Assist in training new employees in their respective position and cross training of existing employees.

g) Follow and ensure that the business conduct policy is met.

h) Performs duties and responsibilities with view toward Department goals, energy conservation and support of academic, research and institutional goals.

i) Installs, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyers, belts, fans, HVAC, etc.

j) Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble.

k) Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts and inspects completed repair.

l) Adjust functional parts of mechanical devices.

m) Cleans and lubricates parts.

n) Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

o) Requisitions replacement and/or new parts and equipment.

p) Replaces defective mechanical parts of HVAC equipment.

q) Inspects, cleans and lubricates equipment machinery.

r) Performs brazing, welding and sheet metal work when required.

s) Remains on call and available via phone during assigned time frames.

t) Meet with GM weekly to discuss maintenance issues and/or concerns.

u) Work with pre-designated and approved vendors for all outside contracted services needed to be performed to insure proper working order of all areas of the facility.

v) Conduct all property and guest room PM’s (Preventative Maintenance) items as scheduled and needed.

w) Insure that all guest room needs are consistently and properly maintained in order to provide the best level of service we can to guests.

x) Assist General Manager annually to update and plan for all Capital Budget projects.

y) Performs other related duties as required.
