Skils'kin is seeking an expert manager with large-scale grounds maintenance or similar experience to join our team as full-time Project Manager of a federal contract located at FE Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, WY.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor an existing crew of 20 to 25 individuals at FE Warren Air Force Base performing a wide range of grounds maintenance responsibilities. Will be responsible for personnel management to include payroll, evaluations, interviewing, hiring, training, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Supported by Human Resources and Leadership in this area.

Will be responsible for development, training and support for all Supervisors and crew members. Actively engage with and manage your grounds crews and build relationships with your teams in order to understand individual abilities and position the teams for success.

Outline daily/weekly plans, delegate duties, and prioritize tasks to ensure that your teams accomplish all grounds contract work requirements as well as special request project work in a timely manner, as agreed to with our customer. Responsible for the overall implementation and follow through to include quality control and assurance of our grounds contract at FE Warren Air Force Base.

Establish a strong professional relationship with our government customer that includes facilitating proper channels of communication and proactively managing any issues that may arise.

Establish and maintain communication and collaboration with Skils'kin's leadership and support teams to ensure successful completion of contract requirements, budget and personnel management.

Be willing to be an ambassador for, and continue our ongoing efforts in local community outreach and public relationships, contributing to the community knowledge of Skils’kin as a premier supporting employer for individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications

A minimum of two years’ experience managing a project/contract with a budget size in excess of $1 million annually. Considerable experience assisting in an endeavor of this size will also be considered.

Commercial landscape maintenance experience that encompasses all maintenance services to include large scale mowing and trimming, pruning, shrub trimming, licensed weed control, and irrigation troubleshooting and maintenance. Consideration will be given to those with some, but possibly not all areas of expertise and training in these areas can be provided.

Must possess professional and effective verbal and written communication skills.

Experience hiring, developing individual employees, and managing teams. An empathetic and sincere desire to support individuals with disabilities to reach their potential in the workplace and to lead teams of all levels of abilities to success.

Must possess the ability to be organized, flexible, and have working knowledge of computers and applicable software to project management that includes Outlook, Word, Excel, finance, budget, inspection, payroll, and recruiting.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a salaried position that includes employer paid benefits and the potential for annual bonuses.

Other Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company insurance policy.

Must successfully pass background checks that allow for access to FE Warren Air Force Base.

Must possess or be willing to obtain a Wyoming Commercial Pesticide License as well as a CDL
