Privately owned Apartment complex (89 Units) looking for a full time Maintenance staff position. Maintenance will be responsible, under the direction of the property manager, for the overall maintenance of the apartment complex and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations of the community.
Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, cleaning, and painting.
Repairing and maintaining structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
Make ready units for new move-ins.
Responsible for 24 hour emergency maintenance.
Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program.
Complete grounds work such as: grounds pick up, sweeping, and light landscaping.
Coordinate special projects as directed.
Maintain HVAC systems (if applicable).
Pool Maintenance (if applicable).
Work with property manager to schedule work orders and unit turn overs.
Staff consistently meet with the Community Manager to help ensure expenses are properly maintained and that the needs of all residents, and the building, are being met. Therefore, positive, upbeat, Resident, co-worker and vendor interactions are mandatory.
Maintenance qualifications and requirements
Previous experience as Maintenance within a multifamily community
In-depth knowledge of different building (apartment complex) systems (heating, electrical, air conditioning, ventilation etc.)
Familiarity with relevant health and safety standards and regulations
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
