OC Renovations is seeking a Granite/Quartz Polisher

POLISHER POSITION:
As a Polisher you are going to be responsible for operating polishing equipment to obtain desired finish on fabricated stone. A mastery of polishing granite and quartz at a high pace and with excellent workmanship.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
1 year or more experience polishing granite, quartz countertops
Polish material/parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand and power tools
Follow printed shop drawings to ensure finished pieces are in accordance with job templates/drawings
Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
Verify quality of finished work pieces by inspecting, comparing to templates, measuring dimensions, and marking any defects for possible rework, Check profile edges for chips/imperfections
Piece count to make sure all pieces are there; take out scrap countertop pieces to dumpster
Ensure proper use of equipment, ensure all projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner
Work in a collaborative environment by helping coworkers in other stations if needed; maintain a clean station
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
Experience in fabricating Granite and Quartz, experience in material polishing, fabrication tools and procedures
Operate a variety of stone shop tools and equipment, operate vacuum lifter safely and efficiently, experience operating Forklift
Able to use a pneumatic polisher, routers, palm sander, panel saw, table saw, miter saw and measuring devices
Load A-frames according to crews; move A-frames without wheels
Ability to handle physical workload and stand for long hours
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and more than 50 lbs. assisted
APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:
Ability to effectively communicate verbally, bilingual a plus
Willingness to learn and adapt to our companies’ policies, procedures, and techniques
Ability to follow instructions and deadline-oriented
Must be a hard worker and self-motivator, work well on a team and individually and be safety oriented
Independent, self-starter with a strong work ethic
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
COMPENSATION:
This company offers competitive wages, medical benefits, paid holidays, and vacation.
Pay: From $18 to $28/per hour based on experience
