The Sr Human Resources Business Partner is an experienced professional, passionate to help others solve complex problems through diverse paths leading innovative solutions. As a strategic, enthusiastic, and dynamic People & Culture Lead, you will deliver value through assessing, developing, and enhancing people management practices and tools through the entire employee lifecycle, which requires a versatile, consultative approach to understand the capabilities needed by the different business areas and translate them into the highest impact work.

In partnership with the Human Resources team, the Sr HRBP will help business leaders to increase awareness of people capabilities and look across multiple practices with data-driven recommendations that improve individual and/or team performance, engagement, and the overall team members' experience.As Koneksa continues expanding and growing, this role will be a critical partner to scale positive results and impact, based on fast-growing people management benchmarks practices to attract, select, develop and engage a diverse pool of talent across business areas.

This role reports directly to the VP People and partners closely with all leaders across business functions. This role also would supervise other human resources professionals, as well as leading company cross-functional initiatives and corporate projects.Due to COVID, this position will be partially remote and partially on-site. Applicants must be able and motivated to commute to NYC to support teams in a hybrid capacity (virtually and face to face).

Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end activities related to the employee life cycle as senior HRBP, including supporting talent management practices, recruitment, and selection, managing employee relations cases, driving engagement initiatives, advice on HR compliance and compensation plus benefits practices.

  • Ability to operate independently at diverse levels of the organization and proactively achieve optimal results in a small-mid-size fast-growing organization.

  • Demonstrate master listening capabilities to explain, teach, and coach employees and managers to foster Koneksa culture and the company values across varied people & culture systems, practices, and tools.

  • Think strategically, execute tactically, and deliver expected results in high growth, rapid, and complex changing environment.

  • Ability to lead with and without authority over SMEs and professionals across multi-functional teams.

  • Demonstrate an HR analytical mindset to develop, implement and evaluate people trends and/or metrics that support employee engagement and HR solutions/programs/policies oriented to achieve the company goals.

  • High orientation to effectively managing employee life-cycle and HR processes through converting manual administrative tasks/practices into automated processes supported by innovative HR technology.

  • Motivation to be an influential and credible senior HR leader, setting the tone, agenda, and direction of people and culture practices.

  • Perform the role expectations consistently, adjusting one's own working style to the diverse team members, demonstrating high emotional intelligence to manage all kinds of situations while identifying risk and delivering the appropriate solutions.

  • Serve as subject matter expert, answering varied HR questions and skillfully manage employee relations, mediation, compliance matters.

  • Flexibility to support individuals and teams across diverse time zones, geographies, organizational levels, and employment capacity to effectively manage and accommodate their own schedule upon priorities.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of related HR experience as business partner or HR generalist, including at least 3 years of HR experience in small-mid size, high growth, and complex changing organizational environments.

  • Preferable HR industry experience in rapidly-growing life-science, biotech, SaaS or high-tech startups.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above, preferable in Human Resources or related fields.

  • Desirable knowledge in assessment tools, positive psychology, appreciate inquiring and growth mindset.

  • HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) and other HR technical/functional certifications, preferred.

  • Proven track record establishing innovative HR solutions and initiatives across multiple functional areas and organizational levels, in hybrid environments (face to face and virtual capacity)

  • Experience assessing, implementing and managing innovative systems for core HR areas such as recruitment and selection, performance management and learning & development.

  • Ability to build trust and rapport quickly with diverse stakeholders, understanding working styles, behaviors and business needs to effectively communicate, influence and facilitate people management decisions.

  • Strong experience as a versatile internal or external HR consultant with focus in providing prompt, professional and value-added solutions.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically while implementing tactical solutions, and resolving issues/concerns.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, orientation to details, and highly oriented to manage competing priorities effectively.

  • Desirable HR project management experience.

  • Experience and motivation to work with diverse and inclusive individuals and teams.

  • Preferable international HRBP experience and/or managing international HR projects.

  • Preferable domain of a second/multiple language.

  • High proficiency in managing varied professional software skills and HR technology/systems.

  • Desirable experience working with startup collaborative tools and the ability to switch between Google Suite and/or Microsoft tools.
