Veterinarian Assistant Wanted

Meier Veterinary Clinic is a busy, energetic, one doctor small animal practice with long-term clientele located in Marion, Iowa. We strive to practice veterinary medicine at a high level while maintaining affordability and a family-friendly atmosphere. We are dedicated to doing our best to ensure that our patients are happy and as stress free as possible. We are looking for a person who shares our commitment toward animal health and desires to learn continually.

Qualities we are looking for include someone who is dependable, responsible, hard-working, able to multitask and works well in a team atmosphere.

Job requirements include being able to assist the veterinarian, animal nursing, operating diagnostic equipment, filling prescriptions, cleaning, operating the clinics practice management software and client education. Our preference is for a full-time person but part-time may be considered for the right applicant.

Wages start at $14.00-$18.50 an hour dependent on education and/or experience.

We offer an annual bonus, paid holidays and vacation, Wellmark health insurance, disability insurance, and IRA retirement benefits. Benefits start after a 60-day probationary period. References and a background check are required.
