The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.Wealth & Investment Management Chief Risk Officer TeamThe Wealth & Investment Chief Risk Officer (CRO) team has primary accountability for overseeing all risks types related to the Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) business. The WIM CRO team provides independent, holistic risk leadership and oversight of the business, creating streamlined interaction with independent risk management and a comprehensive view of risks across each of the businesses.The RoleReporting to the WIM Head of Credit, the WIM Credit Officer will be responsible for managing lending activities for a Wealth Management region and/or product. The WIM Credit Officer will collaborate with Custom Credit Bankers, lending support teams, WIM leaders and senior members of the WIM Credit team to review and decision loan requests above the front line approval authority. Specific responsibilities include:Working in collaboration with regional leadership to effectively and prudently grow the loan portfolio;

Reviewing, challenging and approving loans in excess of front line credit officer authority levels;

Ensuring conformity with bank policies, risk appetite and procedures;

Developing guidance and advising/coaching partners on sound credit risk practices;

Monitoring delinquency, loss and risk rating accuracy across all assigned regions and/or products;

Preparation of Reports to document Portfolio Performance and Trends

Assisting relationship managers and local credit teams with structuring, pricing and documentation of larger or more complex commercial loan transactions;

Monitoring and reviewing loan underwriting and portfolio management for senior management/regulatory agency review;

Analyzing new business prospects including partnering with colleagues in developing relationships with clients and potential clients; and

Acting as a technical expert for partners on credit risk.

Required Qualifications12+ years of lending experience

Other Desired QualificationsThis is an exceptional opportunity for a self-directed lending professional who has a documented history of providing value to a senior management team. Given the significant responsibilities of this position, the ideal candidate should possess:12+ years of experience underwriting and managing complex credit such as private banking, commercial and/or commercial real estate loans;

Proficient in credit approvals

Strong experience in portfolio reporting and portfolio servicing

5+ years of experience approving credit in a private banking environment;

Experience with Private Equity, Hedge Fund, and Alternative Investments

Experience with analyzing large and/or complex loan transactions;

Proven success in coaching, advising and influencing banking employees and regional leaders on credit/risk policy and practice;

Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to interpret and convey complex issues in a positive, persuasive and informative manner;

Well-developed/proven leadership, managerial, project management and planning skills;

Superb interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to travel regionally and overnight.

Advanced education in the form of MBA, MS-Finance; formal credit training; an understanding of complex estate structures

Strong analytical experience; data reporting, mining

Strong experience working with Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint

Strong experience with creating presentation decks
