DUTIES

-Inbound and outbound all outside carriers properly using the dispatch application program, ensuring they are entered correctly and give proper direction in a professional manner. Inbound and outbound all Hy-Vee loads properly and update dispatch application.

-Make sure building and doors are secure for the protection of Hy-Vee assets and employees. Report any suspicious activity to the TCC. Monitor and report adverse weather and road conditions.

-Monitor fire and security alarm systems and respond to those alarms appropriately. If necessary, secure the facility to prevent damage, injuries, or loss of property or merchandise.

-Monitor CCTV video

-Answer telephone for Cherokee Distribution Center; assist or direct callers appropriately. 15%

-Check visitors in and out at the Traffic Control Center using the Easy Lobby software. Monitor Card Access Systems.

REQUIREMENTS

-Must be able to solve practical problems, with a variety of variables, with limited standardization; interpret instructions.

-Must be at least 18 or older

-Must possess a valid driver's license

-Must be physically able to perform moderate physical work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.

-Must have basic working knowledge of computer use, to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook e-mail and calendars.
