Hagie Manufacturing is seeking a qualified candidate to be part of our Supply Management team as a

Strategic Supply Management Specialist in Clarion, IA. This position leads strategic sourcing responsibilities with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, meeting Product Delivery Process (PDP – LT) and current production requirements/goals on product cost, delivery and quality. Builds and develops a supply base (including suppliers’ onboarding) for procuring materials, products, supplies and services. Supports strategic capacity planning activities as the Supply Management lead, working with other functional areas. Be the SME for contract management. Responsible for tooling and bailment and on-site contractor compliance. This position will report to the Supply Management Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads and/or supports the negotiation of supply agreements with specific suppliers resulting in cost models, an implementation strategy and a documented agreement, ensuring the Company meets its overall goals for cost, quality, continuity of supply, etc.
  • Leads target costing and cost management support for Product Delivery Process (PDP - LT) cost goals and current production cost reductions, focusing on Shareholder Value Added; develops and implements communication plans to key stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Ensures or manages the development and implementation of factory operation strategies, defining and integrating supply chains that support Product Delivery Process (PDP - LT) and current production and significantly impact factory financial and operational objectives.
  • Responsible for identifying a preferred supply base to meet factory needs.
  • Utilizes and develops continuous improvement in terms of performance and lowest total cost with the supply base utilizing supplier performance process/criteria and other appropriate metrics, reviews with Supply Management Specialists.
  • Develops, implements and improves Supply Management processes to support current production and Product Delivery Process (PDP – LT).

Qualifications

  • Experience in specific areas of Supply Management such as: supplier integration, strategic supply management, supplier development, scheduling, forecasting, logistics, purchasing etc. – 3 - 5 years
  • Work experience in a team environment. – 3 – 5 years
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of Order Fulfillment Process.
  • Skills in negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of unit processes and operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel
  • Understanding of MRP systems and ability to create and manage reporting.
  • Cost Management experience
  • Project management experience.

Education:

  • Degree in a Business/Engineering/Supply Management/Finance discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent).
