Job Description

The Project Accountant will be responsible for project cost accounting including budget tracking, processing pay requests, producing draw requests, attending project meetings, preparing cost estimates and more for hotel development projects. Current projects will be Limelight Mammoth and another Colorado location to be announcedwith more already in the pipeline.

Essential Job Functions Develop project budget along with VP Project Advancement, VP Development, and Director of Finance. Attend development and project meetings representing Accounting & Finance. Manage project cost with third-party project managers such as Jones Lang LaSalle, Artaic Group, etc Produce Owner Draw requests; track and report equity standing Coordinate year end K1s with 3rd Party CPA Assist with Year End tax reporting Helps prepare monthly project reporting Manage flow of pay requests and invoices. Includes entry into AP system and cutting checks. Along with VP Project Advancement and third-party project managers prepare periodic cash flows and project cost estimates. Produce Invoices from Related Party to Projects Prepare presentations to ownership on how the project is tracking to budget. Manage contracts to insure terms are followed, payments follow terms, certificates of insurance on file, etc. Assist Controller in setting up of fixed assets at conclusion of project.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business or equivalent experienceStrong working knowledge software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software including advanced skills in ExcelTwo years of accounting or finance experience preferred

Supervision Given and Received Supervision given:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Supervision received: Works under general supervision of the VP of Accounting. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor’s directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins. 

Work Environment and Physical Demands:Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements adverse or hazardous conditions Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
