Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team on the Missile Defense Space Warning Tool (MDST) / MDST Ops Organization, on the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) program as a Linux Systems Administrator based out of Schriever AFB, CO. MDST is responsible for maintaining a development lab in support of MDST software development and an operations lab where the software is deployed. What You'll get to Do: The Systems Administrator primary duties include installing, troubleshooting, updating/patching, and maintenance of Linux environments, lab assets, & IT infrastructure. Candidate will sustain operational uptime on Red Hat Linux systems and provide daily support for hardware and software issues, data recovery, system upgrades, software upgrades, and configuration issues. Candidate will assist in management of COTS, GOTS, software licenses, and other developed software applications. Candidate will also be responsible for performing security hardening on systems using DoD STIGs and other best practice security guidelines. Secondary duties will include researching new technologies, evaluating products, writing processes/documentation and performing training as needed. Other duties will be assigned as required. Basic Qualifications: - For a Sr. Principal Systems Administrator: Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience, or 13 years of experience in lieu of a degree - For a Principal Systems Administrator: Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree - Active SECRET Security Clearance - Security+ with Continuing Education (CE) or equivalent certification under DoD 8570.01-M - Experience with Linux System Administration in a multi-user networked environment - Experience in Virtualization technology (VMWare) - Experience with one more scripting languages Preferred Qualifications: - Experience utilizing cybersecurity software applications such as SCC, ACAS, and HBSS - Experience as administrator using Ansible, IPA/IDM identity management systems, Red Hat Satellite, and other hardware technologies - Ability to define and manage competing priorities - Experience with automation of system configuration and deployment technologies - Active TOP SECRET Security Clearance - In-depth experience in Operations and Maintenance activities of IT infrastructure - Experience working with vendors to expedite installations and repairs to ensure maximum uptime - Experience with configuration and installation of cybersecurity software applications such as SCC, ACAS, and HBSS - Experience with network device management - Experience managing relational database systems - Experience with interpretive and complied programming languages Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
