Quince and Apple is a small-batch maker of artisan food, including preserves, pickles, candied nuts and cocktail syrups. We started this company with the purpose of creating good jobs in food for ourselves and our employees, and we offer predictable weekday hours, a living wage, paid time off for sick days and vacation days, and a collaborative, friendly work environment.
We are hiring to grow our small, collaborative production team. We make all our products by hand here in our near-downtown kitchen. We operate by our values which include a positive, healthy work environment for our employees and working as a team to do a great job together.
This position will assist the current production team as needed with labeling product, cleaning, shipping, and aspects of production including filling jars and prepping produce. We make preserves, syrups, candy and candied nuts, as well as deliver and ship product locally and across the country.
We’re looking for:
+ A positive and friendly attitude, able to collaborate and communicate with the team
+ Commercial kitchen experience and interest in food
+ Someone who enjoys physical work and repetitive tasks
+ Physical strength, comfort with hot environments and okay with repeated heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
+ Strong values, including taking health and safety seriously and doing the right thing
Job details:
+full time (40 hours)
+hours within the time frame of Monday-Friday 8-5
+$10-14/hr based on experience; we will train to the position if you have more limited experience
+PTO is earned after 3 months and paid sick leave is offered
+We are taking COVID seriously. We have implemented recommended protective measures and are updating them on an ongoing basis, with input from our production team. All of our staff is vaccinated and we are only hiring applicants who are fully vaccinated. Masks are required because of the current local mandate.
