Job Description

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for the financial processing of transactions, including data entry in accounting software, file management and check processing

Essential Job Functions Coordinate the weekly check run process. Ensure that A/P checks are accurate, are issued on schedule, to terms and in line with company policy. Review/approve manual employee expense reimbursements and make sure they fall within company policy. Monitor and process all monthly rents on various buildings. Process all invoices for capital improvement projects. Post manual payments for wire transactions. Reconcile vendor statements on a timely basis and resolve discrepancies. Investigate and resolve vendor disputes. Maintain high skill level in accounting software and Excel. Train staff on the same. Provide backup support to AP Manager and other AP Staff. Other duties as assigned.

Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a fast paced environment Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Strong computer skills, especially Excel required Strong organizational, problem solving and decision making skills required Professional communication skills for dealing with: employees, co-workers, management, and vendors JD Edwards experience very helpful Teamwork and ability to delegate Strong typing and 10 key skills

Supervision given and receivedGiven: Exercises direct supervision over Accounts Payable Clerks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, frequent and detailed review of work, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Received: Works under direct supervision of Accounts Payable Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.

Work Environment and physical demandsAbility to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements No adverse or hazardous conditionsNot required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
