Job Summary Applies advanced knowledge and experience to research, recommend, design and architect complex multi-vendor data network solutions for the organization. The Senior Network Engineer performs advanced configuration and implementation of core network infrastructure systems that affect the entire organization. Develops and implements advanced network monitoring, management and troubleshooting systems and tools. Performs rapid troubleshooting and resolution of system wide issues. Leverages advanced skills to assist and mentor other team members and in support of departmental goals. Must have good communication skills both written and verbal. Experience interfacing with Executive Leadership desired. Network certifications a plus. Provide advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes. Document design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information. Evaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, or usability. Provide technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of systems. Identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs. Perform ongoing hardware and software maintenance operations, including installing or upgrading hardware or software. Communicate project information through presentations, technical reports, or white papers. Direct the installation of network or application software, or computer or network hardware. Identifies the critical goals and tasks required to meet daily objectives.

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required. Area of focus in technology related field preferred.
  • Five years experience or advanced certifications in networking technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of network routing hardware, switching hardware, configuration, management and best practices. Specifically BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, SDWAN, Nexus, ACI architecture, FabricPath, QoS design, centralized wireless controllers, and ISE.
  • Network based Voice experience a plus.
  • Experience influencing and mentoring peers
  • Experience in managing technically advanced projects with executive interactions
When applicable, may need a valid driver's license. If valid driver's license is required, must maintain a good driving record.
