ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

CONTRACT TO HIRE: 1ST SHIFT

LOCATION: DUBUQUE IA

WAGE: DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCE

Job Duties

Prepare confidential reports utilizing various advanced software programs.

Collect information, compile, and print, proof and distribute to appropriate company personnel.

Maintain procedural manual documenting newly developed or special project procedures.

Support various departments by assisting in special projects as requested.

Will work in cooperation with receptionist to cover phones when needed.

Establish and maintain files ensuring they are up to date and clearly marked for easy access.

Demonstrate flexibility to perform duties wherever volume deems it necessary

Will file, type correspondence, memos and reports and participate in administrative functions such as developing and maintaining complex spreadsheet tracking reports.

Will match invoices to receiving reports, verifying amounts are correct, and if needed, will enter price changes

Will assist buyers as requested and will answer phone calls from store associates regarding products, inventories, etc.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point, as well as knowledge of spreadsheets and database software

Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Administrative duties including, but not limited to, assigning work, checking work, planning, record-keeping, reporting, and training

Clerical duties including, but not limited to, answering phone, filing, proofreading, ten-key, typing, and data entry

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers through telephone conversations and written/email correspondence

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload with multiple priorities

Must have great problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics

Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, employee coaching and development skills

Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times
