Junior Network Administrator

This is a 6+-Month Contract Position

Candidates MUST be local to Colorado

This role requires travel to multiple worksites The Junior Network Administrator will be responsible for team that will design horizontal cabling, deploy network infrastructure, and upgrade connectivity to different sites throughout the Denver metro area.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide design and build for new and existing work sites.
  • Work with both internal agencies and external contractors to assess sites, and order equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Act as liaison between Technology Services, the project team, and vendors.
  • Create practical analysis documentation to identify and propose resolution of any technology, application, network, and security gaps.
  • Prepare final documentation for review and approval with stakeholders, ensuring appropriate detail available to drive confidence with, and approval of, design solutions.
  • Oversee and assess product progress at each stage of the project.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years’ experience in a Network Administrator role.
  • 2+years’ experience with configuring Cisco switches.
  • Skilled in running, pulling, terminating, and splicing both fiber and a variety of Ethernet and twisted pair cables connections.
  • Accomplished in writing and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with AV products, preferred.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Wireless, preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and valid Colorado driver’s license are required.
  • Some after hours or early morning work may be needed.
