Description of JobCDHS is searching for a strategic thinker with an emphasis in performance improvement strategies to join the Performance Management Division. This position is the Staff Authority and content expert on developing and executing services to support data-driven strategic planning and performance management across the Office of Behavioral Health . Working collaboratively across the Department, this position determines the best approach for implementing the Department’s strategic planning approach, ensures this approach is complementary to existing supports, and is sensitive to existing team resources. This position will also aid in the delivery of other performance management activities, including preparation for Performance Management meetings, working with the Office staff on related data analysis requests, and consults in research efforts for the identification of best practices. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Sciences (e.g., Social Work, Sociology), Criminal Justice, or a closely related field of study related to the work assignment.ANDThree years of professional experience using and analyzing quantitative and qualitative performance data and performance improvement strategies to improve outcomes and meet goals.Substitutions: Additional appropriate education will substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis. Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.Preferred QualificationsAbility to develop, implement, and/or monitor strategic plan objectives and initiatives.

Ability to use performance data and performance improvement strategies to improve outcomes and meet goals.

Ability to conduct a comprehensive review and analysis of all factors affecting a performance measure, including qualitative and quantitative data, data entry, queries, and related policies and procedures.

Ability to derive logical conclusions from available information, utilizing a combination of judgment and formal guidance, in order to determine if departmental objectives have been met.

Experience synthesizing and delivering complex information for use at the executive and senior management level.

Ability to analyze multiple sources of information to increase performance.

Ability to effectively communicate in both written and oral format.

Ability to create recommendations for the graphic presentation of performance data.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel, and G Suite including Gmail, Hangouts, Calendar, and Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms.

Experience with Tableau.

Experience in a complex human services environment.

A graduate level degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences (e.g. Social Work, Sociology), Criminal Justice, or a closely related field.

Conditions of EmploymentCandidate must be willing and able to occasionally travel throughout the State.

Candidate must pass a Colorado Background of Investigation background check prior to start date with the Department.
