Data Engineer

Reports To: The Data Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager of the Platform Team.

Job OverviewAfter raising another $50 million in funding this organization is building a Platform Team full of Data Engineers. Data will be central to the continued growth of this company's technology and they are investing to build a team full of talent.Your goal will be to measure how people use space in real time!

Location: 100% Remote

Salary: $120k - $150k with equity and full benefits

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Build the infrastructure to capture large amounts of company data
  • Capture streaming data from IoT devices into the cloud
  • Build real-time data pipelines with Kafka
  • Help to hire, mentor and train new team members
  • Be a technical Data Engineering expert within the organization

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years experience as a Data Engineer
  • Skills: Python, ETL, Airflow, Kafka, and Spark
