Live-In Companion/Caregiver/In-Home Asst

My dad is in need of a companion and caregiver in his home. We live on Waitts Lake which is a beautiful place to live. Room and amenities will be included in job offer, which is; internet, Dish, utilities and Waitts Lake Beach Association. The estimated value is $800 not including food. The $1,400 is added to that. You must have your own vehicle.

Historically my dad has had the best luck with males. He is an old-school Korean War Vet so keep that in mind. He is generally upbeat and happy, likes the old westerns as you can imagine. So far there is no lifting and he showers independently. He has dementia w/hx of cancer and stroke. He will need close monitoring if he isn't in his favorite chair watching Andy Griffith. He needs queing to do certain tasks such as taking his shower. More to disscuss after phone screening. Upfront I prefer a non-smoker however my dad does smoke up to 3/day outside

At this time my dad needs someone to do laundry, cook and clean and walk with him and his dog Benny. We also have 2 kitties, 1 is only outside. PLEASE no additional pets. The position is primairly domestic with queing and awareness. I am often gone for short periods of time and will possibly be taking a job 4 days a week but will ensure a set 2 days of time off. In home care as a live-in is much more relaxed than instutional care. We are relaxed but organized. Dementia requires someone who can think far ahead as you get to know habbits etc as well as redirection and queing.
