BGI has the following 12 month project in Parsippany, NJ - onsite 3 days and remote 2 days Data Governance Analyst Consultant. As part of our Enterprise Information Management team, the candidate will demonstrate experience in Data Governance initiatives, with focus on Data Warehouse and Master Data Management programs. This role will actively participate in all aspects of Data Governance, including data quality, data classification, data catalog and lineage, as well as compliance to data standards and privacy regulations.
Responsibilities:• Actively participate in data quality initiatives across our data warehouse environments, which includes development of data quality metrics across all domains and automation of data quality monitoring.• Identify and track metrics for data freshness and data load timeliness within data warehouse environments to ensure we meet business expectations and SLAs.• Participate in establishing methodology for source to target data reconciliations to quickly identify issues resulting from integrations.• Review, identify, and refine data cleansing and conformity guidelines and implementations to ensure consistency and accuracy.• Participate in establishing standards for data quality, data protection, data freshness and timeliness.• Develop & maintain inventory of data warehouse data assets, including business glossary, source systems, and functional owners.• Engage in monitoring of customer de-duplication and anonymization processes.• Take responsibility for loads of external customer data Success Factors:• Strong understanding of best practices relating to metadata management, data quality, information security, process design, and overall data governance strategy.• Communicate effectively with peers, functional and technical owners of source data and data warehouse.• Proven ability to deliver results with minimal direction.• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.• Strong knowledge of business functions and operational effectiveness.• Experience with technology solutions that facilitate data governance activities. Requirements:• 2+ years of experience in the data governance, master data management, and/or data quality management space• 3+ years of experience using SQL to query relational databases• Great communications skills, with comfort communicating across all levels of the organization. Preferred Skills and Experience• Experience working in global retail industry• Experience working with MDM solutions for Customer, Product, and other data domains• Experience with Informatica Data Quality, Informatica Customer 360 (MDM)• Experience with data governance best practices, management of business and technology data issues• Experience with best practices in data quality and data protection managementVacancy expired!
