RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Java Developer in the (Greater) Atlanta, GA area.Summary:The client is currently seeking a motivated Java application developer to join their team. The Java Developer involves developing Java applications that are used within the company to build batch processing solutions for customers. The main job responsibility will be cloud development to migrate internal applications and services to Microsoft Azure.The Java Developer will be a collaborative team player, with ability to influence, communicate and solve problems effectively, whilst handling a fast-paced working environment. This will be combined with a transition to DevOps practices, agile support, and deployment processes, as they start their migration to the public cloud. You will be a key member of the team working with a diverse range of technologies.Duties: Java Developer will test, debug, implement applications and user interfaces using Java Migrate Java applications and services to Microsoft Azure As a Java Developer, you will work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs Resolve basic technical issues as necessaryREQUIREMENTS: 2+ years of Java, HTML, JavaScript, and framework libraries required Experience in Linux environment and Windows Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g.: Agile, Waterfall) Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: Java, JavaScript, Spring, Hibernate, JSON, HTML4/5, AJAX, JSF, CSS, JDBC Professional experience of working within the public cloud - Azure, AWS or GCP Experience with Eclipse, Jira, and Git for design, development, and testing Experience writing deployment scripts (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins) Experience utilizing various debugging tools and methodologies for debugging UI and componentsDesired knowledge and experience: Developing 100% automated unit tests Must be able to work efficiently and progressively with development team members Must work well in a team environment as well as independently Good verbal/written communication and problem-solving skills, ability to communicate information to a variety of groups at different technical skill levelsKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
