Purpose & Scope: The Senior Manager- Digital Technology contributes to creation & implementation of IS Digital Technology Global policies, Governance and strategy. This position requires an individual who can work effectively in a complex organization which has a significant number of projects (50 projects expenditure of approx. 5-10 million $'s per annum) running at any one time with multiple stakeholders. Will work with senior business leaders in US Research & Development (R&D) & Centre of Excellence (COE) locations to ensure that Infrastructure systems are aligned with the business and Information Systems (IS) strategies. Drive for continuous Improvements resulting in better business outcomes, added value to Astellas, and reduction in overall costs with positive impacts on Quality. Focusing on but not restricted to processes, applications or methodologies. This role is based in Astellas Institute of Regenerative Medicine (AIRM), Boston COE facility. Essential Job Responsibilities Implementation of standard global solutions, governance & processes via the Global Infra Task Force & DT Leadership Team. Support & input to communication & discussions between business partners, service providers & DT Leadership. Oversight and governance of outsourced infrastructure related operations. Plan, organize, lead, and maintain the PT region's IT Infrastructure services. Champion's continuous improvement programs, jointly developing strategies and incentives to enhance IS DT performance & delivery capability Manage IICS Pharma Tech US R&D & COE Infrastructure teams to be the "trusted advisor' and thus enable the business to execute business strategy successfully. Ensure the Business functions understand, and support IS initiatives as appropriate and that the IS function is responsive to feedback from internal customers. Ensure Infrastructure demand generated by the US R&D & COE business are in line with the IS approach and utilize appropriate tools where these already exist within the IS estate. Participate with IS in the appropriate selection of solutions and third parties required to support changes identified & delivery of services Responsible to start up new DT/local demand projects and bring these into delivery phase for handover to IS delivery team. Qualifications: Required Minimum BA/BS Knowledge of pharmaceutical business and related business processes Good time leadership skills with the ability to work with minimal or no supervision. High level of communication skills and knowledge of English (verbal and written) Knowledge of project management methodologies and disciplines. Technically competent with a wide range understanding of IT Infrastructure. Comprehensive understanding of GxP issues and Pharma qualified infrastructure, validated applications and manufacturing systems Able to apply analytical approach to problem solving and process improvement, and actively seeking opportunities to do so. Ability to create a sense of community among disparate members of the project teams Previous experience in project delivery in a large, complex IS outsourcing environment, across geographic locations. Qualifications: Preferred Ideally at least 5 years' experience of working in a US role with European and Japanese experience an advantage Ideally at least 5 years' experience in a Pharmaceutical company or another regulated industry.
