• Collaborate with AEP Architectural standards team and other technology architects in determining the architecture and design of the new Architecture platform, as well as the migration and scaling plans to complete the successful transition to a cloud-based platform/ On Premise solution in OpenShift/ Red hat (Primary) / AWS (Secondary) Platform using (.NET Core / Java based Solution)
• Using .Net Core 5.0 /Java 8, Spring Framework, AngularJS, React.JS, Django, Vue. Node.js
• Design, configure, and implement Kubernetes system architecture based on requirements
• Review, validate, and document each proposed Kubernetes system architecture
• Focus on cloud-native software development and containerization of existing software
• 10+ years of current experience as a technical architect, designing and building complex, resilient and highly scalable applications deployed in geographically distributed data centers and on public cloud platforms.
• Experience designing 12 factor cloud native applications.
• 4+ years of experience in technical architecture including virtualization, scalability, capacity modeling, Cloud-native services
• 2+ yrs. - Experience with public cloud providers (Must to have -Openshift/AWS)
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, Open Shift,
• Troubleshooting skills in multiple popular languages, e.g., Python, Bash, Golang, C, and Java, .NET Core
• Take ownership of working with Enterprise Architect/Cloud Transformation Team/Cyber/ Middleware Team; understand their vision and roadmaps;
• Tactical Implementation of Modernization Architecture and Design:
• Take ownership and be a hands-on technical architect who will lead the technology team from the front and inspire thought leadership in the team. Ensure the migration to a new cloud-based solution achieves the needed objectives and timelines.
• Mentor, train and influence a team of aspiring, experienced and hardworking developers to design and execute with a distributed mentality and transform the team architecturally as the legacy platforms modernize technically.
• Should be hands-on and comfortable looking at code to understand existing flows, rules, and design. Should have freedom to explore, prototype, or even implement solutions that help drives strategic decision making.
• Define, communicate and implement design/coding standards for distributed services, cloud-based solutions, and represent Architecture Review Board (ARB) for design review approvals with Enterprise Architect/Cloud Transformation Team/Cyber Teams.
• Should lead design initiatives (drive discussions, produce artifacts) and will publish or present your ideas to technology leaders and business executives
• Experience with AWS cloud architecture and AWS Certified Solution Architect (Nice to have)
